It's not too late to join us in the latest Color challenge over at Paper Patch Crafts. Anne created a new facebook page for the store because of her disappointment in the way the timeline at Facebook obstructed all the entries you wanted to enter. Please come and join us over at the new one by going here: Paper Patch Crafts. The challenge ends tomorrow...so hurry!!
The challenge is to create a card using the colors Navy, olive and cream. Here is what I created:
I am having a lot of fun playing around with the Perfect Pearls I recently bought when my friend Mary came to town. They add such a lovely shimmer and in this case patina to the background. The image was from Free Vintage Digital Stamps. Check them out! The embellishments were Prima and from Paper Patch Crafts.

Steampunk Hoppin'
Hello! I am so happy you made it all the way to my blog along this fantastic blog hop featuring the awesome digital stamp creations from Copic Marker Scrapbooking. If you stumbled upon my blog by accident and want to start from the very beginning...hop on back to the beginning by going HERE. And...you are going to want to because at each of the blogs there is a Secret Letter (sometimes not so secret) and if you put them all together and leave some comment love at each blog along the way...you can have a complete set of these fantastic images...all yours...for the big ol' price of Nuthin'. Yes, that be true. Just email Colleen the word...and she will send those out to you via email. Here is a list of all the blogs...you don't want to get lost!
What is steampunk? Well, if you haven't figured that out by now, I will give you my interpretation. I think of it as a genre that is sort of like Jules Vernes meets Wild, Wild West, meets the Victorian era. Mechanical, Sci-fi and a little bit gothic. I love it! And here is what I created with all of the images that can be yours too!
I think this tag/card turned out to be my favorite. I did a lot of experimentation with Perfect Pearls and resist stamping. I am going to use this for the perfect graduation card! |
this incorporated 2 of the stamps available. I thought they made a nice couple together. |
I think she is a little sassy and stylin. |
And really...a mechanical owl really just says it all. |
We hope you loved our Steampunk Blog Hop. Be sure to leave a comment on ALL of the blogs and collect your letters (as in mine...it would be the letter "N") to be eligible for the free set of Steampunk Stamps from Copic Marker Scrapbooking. Don't forget...one very lucky winner will also receive a brand new set of the new Sketch Marker colors that were just released!! Happy Hopping Everyone!!
For your last stop on your journey, hop on over to Torrey's Blog!

And now for my project. The theme this time is April Showers. Here is the card I made to share.
I am loving the idea of using ink to make my ribbons any color I choose. I just smeared my distress ink onto my craft mat, sprinkled a little water and dabbed my cream colored ribbon through it. I then quick dried it with my heat tool...and there you have it. Fun!! I love you comments!
Items Used
Permanent Foam Squares (love these!)

Easter Images!
I have been such a bad blogger lately. I could blame a lot of things for it...but really it's all for a good reason. My best friend visited me from Arizona and spent a few days with us and we had so much fun! Happily she is crafty kind of friend too...so there will be some fun and upcoming things to share with you soon that we made as well as gave me some extra mojo to get more crafty in general!
But, I have been very remiss because I intended on posting these cards a couple days ago! Blame it on recovery time....back to work Monday morning and basically no sleep all last week. How can someone sleep when there are precious minutes slipping away that could be spent with your bestie? I submit...sleep at times like that is very over-rated. Of course...since Monday that's about all I want to do. But I digress....(as usual)
Copic Marker Scrapbooking has some fun new Easter images at their store! Here are a couple now for your viewing pleasure. Please be sure to check out the blog....there's a freebie!!
